Statics (CIVL 2131)
In this Statics course, students develop the ability to interpret physical systems, identify forces and their directions, and apply equilibrium principles before performing calculations.
Mechanics of Materials (CIVL 3322)
In Mechanics of Materials, students study material properties and stress–strain behavior, evaluate stress under different internal loadings, apply Mohr’s circle for combined loading, and analyze deflection.
Mechanics of Materials lab (CIVL 3325)
The Mechanics of Materials Lab connects theory with experimentation by having students conduct material tests, interpret results, and document findings through technical reports.
